Eumundi show with the Berry Girls

Meet the Grace & Tayla Berry, two talented sisters who we sponsor here at Giddyupgirl. The Berry girls were kind enough to give us a wrap up of their latest show at Eumundi, so keep on reading to hear all about it!
Our day started out with a sleep in until 5:00am. The horses were fed and we got dressed into our Giddyup outfits. When we arrived at the show we worked the ponies before getting them ready for the ring. Our open pony, Lynn Hurst Queen of hearts, was entered in the lead where she took our champion riding pony led in a tough line up of quality ponies. We were soon tacked up and riding the three ponies in the ring swapping around riders and horses as we went. Having 3 horses to compete and only two riders was a bit challenging however we made it successfully through the day without missing any classes. Our Large hunter pony Bamborough Scrumptious, won champion part bred ridden welsh, and went on to win champion open show hunter pony later in the day. Lynn Hurst Queen of Hearts carried on from her win in the led classes, to take out champion open pony against a line-up of quality horses. Our large open Galloway Calvin park dark night, was a star as he also won champion open Galloway with rider Grace Berry. Grace also competed in her rider class winning her age group and then going on to win champion rider 17 years and under, amongst a strong field of riders. At the end of the day Calvin park dark night was a shining star as he took out the overall supreme open horse of the show. We were so happy with the effort of all of our ponies as they all worked so hard in the extreme heat. Overall Eumundi show was a blast and we couldn’t be happier of how we all went.
