2022 Welcomes NEW Ambassadors

Madeline Gaden

My name is Madeleine Gaden, I am known as Mads and I am 12 years of age. I live in a little country town in Central West NSW called Dunedoo. I have been riding horses ever since I could sit on a horse. I started riding at Dunedoo Pony Club and attended my first Pony Camp at age two and a half. It has been hard to keep me off a horse since then.

My love of showing started when I rode at the Dunedoo Show to now travelling around the country to attend shows. I am very grateful to my parents for driving me around the country side due to where we live. I love going to the shows as I get to catch with friends from all around Australia and of course meet you people.

My first competition pony was Rowdy, Bellevale In The Moment, who took me to great success in my riding classes. Rowdy taught me how to ride as one day he would be push button, the next he could throw in a little pig root, most of the time he was good.

I have also had the opportunity of riding some very special horses which have taken me to some very special wins. I rode Jessica Callus’ Yartarla Park Show Scene to win Grand Nationals Champion Rider 9-12 Years in 2021 and Claire Diebert’s Dreamtime Flirtini to win Champion Girl Rider at Sydney Royal in 2021.

I was very fortunate that Mum and Dad were able to purchase Rooster, Xtra Riches of Sefton in late 2021 after been asked to ride him at Grand Nationals in 2021. I fell in love with him and we have a very special partnership. Rooster has a few quirks but he is a real character and I have so much fun riding him.

This year we have had some amazing wins and I am soo grateful to all those that help me, particularly Mum, Dad, my brother Ollie and my Coach Paul Austin. Some include:

EA 2022 Champion Rider Under 12y

*EA 2021 Show Horse Nationals Champion Rider Under 12 Years.

*Grand Champion Child’s Open Horse and Champion Open Large Galloway at Southern Cross Show Horse Spectacular

*Champion Childs Galloway at Grand Nationals.

*Royal wins and Championships at Sydney and the Ekka

*And most recently Champion Primary Show Horse and Champion Overall Primary and Secondary Showrider at the Australian Interschool Championships.

I also believe in working hard and you can achieve your dreams. Ride it like you own it, have fun and believe in your horse.

I am honoured to be an Ambassador for Giddyupgirl.

Georgina Sharp

Georgina is 7 years old and lives in Sydney. She has two ponies Tommy (Bellingara Nirvana) and Mini Legs (Drumeden Chanel) who she keeps with her Grandparents in the Southern Highlands. She has been riding since before she could walk. She loves showing but also enjoys trail riding and going fast!

She has had great success this year in leading rein classes. She has been lucky enough to be asked to ride two beautiful ponies this year, Woronora Jupiter for Abbey Lovell and Langtree Jiminny Cricket for Lisa Cleary-Gutierrez. Riding Woronora Jupiter she won the leading rein show hunter pony at Canberra Royal and was Grand Champion mini exhibit at Southern Cross Show Horse spectacular and on Langtree Jiminny Cricket she won the open leading rein pony at Pacific Coast and at Equestrain Australian NSW Horse of the Year.

Georgina has also recently been runner up in the 6-9 year riding class at ACT and Southern Highlands show, winning a golden ticket for her riding class at Grand Nationals 2023.

This is a photo of Georgina competing at her first show on Mini Legs in January this year, and wearing her giddyup girl show shirt! I have heaps and heaps of photos so let me know how many you’d like. I’m having trouble attaching others so I’ll send them to you separately.
